Mozilla has formally launched their first Firefox browser for mobile devices. This Firefox browser (version 1.0) is called Fennec and is currently offered for Nokia Maemo 5 platform. So, Nokia N900 owners can now have the benefit of popular Firefox browser on their mobile phones.
According to Mozilla the Firefox Mobile browser Fennec is safe, powerful, highly customizable and the most contemporary mobile web browser available. It is optimized for a mobile devices.
Firefox being the very first mobile web browser to support add-ons is destined to be very popular, At present there are 40 add-ons available right now. Other features include –
- Tabbed browsing,
- Synchronization of bookmarks, history, passwords etc. between the desktop version and the mobile version .
- Available in more than 30 languages.
- Add features like AdBlock Plus, Twitter Bar, Youtube support, maps and location conscious and many more.
